What is Hatha Yoga?

How we can find balance in practice

Hatha yoga is a preparatory process of yoga or union. The word “ha” means sun, “ta” means moon. “Hatha” brings balance between the sun and the moon in you, or the Pingala (masculine energy) and Ida (feminine energy). Fundamentally, it is a physical preparation – preparing the body for a higher possibility or meditation that this balance can help you reach. For this reason we offer the opportunity to practice at these transformational times of the day; sunrise and sunset.

Our morning sessions are perfect to increase heat in the body, bringing about the fire to activate your masculine energy and get your body and mind ready for action.

Our evening session will cool and calm, bringing awareness to your feminine energy and desire to soften and relax, the ideal way to wind down and end your day in balance.
